The Northeast PA Manufacturers & Employers Association (NEPA MAEA) held its Annual Installation of Officers on March 8, 2022. The officers installed were Randy Kalce, EMD Electronics, Chairman; Mike Narcavage, Southwestern Energy, 1st Vice Chairman; Chris Dende, Mrs. T’s Pierogies, 2nd Vice Chairman; Dennis Fink, Northeast Prestressed Products, LLC, Secretary; Karen Kenderdine, Mid Penn Bank, Treasurer; and Alvin Marshall, Marshall, Bohorad, Thornburg, Price and Campion, P.C., Solicitor.
Darrin Woodruff, InterMetro Industries Corp., was recognized as the MAEA 2021 HR Professional of the Year. In addition, certificates were presented to attending graduates of a MAEA Certificate Series. The graduate recognized for the Supervisory Development Certificate Series was Monique Brennan, Wegmans Food Markets, Inc. The graduates recognized from the Lead Worker (Team Leadership) Certificate Series were Kevin Bixler, Jason Hepler, Mike Lorence, all of Hexcel Corporation and Candace Brown, MAE-Eitel, Inc. In total MAEA, Pennsylvania Manufacturers Association and the National Association of Manufactures provided recognition to 27 Supervisory Development Certificate Series graduates and 35 Lead Worker (Team Leadership) Certificate Series graduates.
David Taylor, President & CEO, Pennsylvania Manufacturers Association provided an informative presentation called “Importance of Business, Political and Community Leadership.”
MAEA’s next event will be their annual Manufacturers and Employers Excellence Awards Dinner on May 3, 2022. The NEPA Manufacturers and Employers Association will celebrate the 2021 achievements of excellence of member companies who have invested and innovated in community involvement, process improvement, product innovation, expansion, and EHS—Environment, Health & Safety .
