The "Pottsville Flight" of 22 bikers left Schaeffer's Harley-Davidson, Orwigsburg on Saturday, September 10 for the "Let's Roll Flight 93 Memorial Ride" to Shanksville, PA. The send off included the Blue Mountain High School Band performing our national anthem and taps, Bagpiper Tyler Walthers of the Hawk Mountain Highlander Band performing "Amazing Grace", Schuylkill County Idol Shaina Graff singing our national anthem, and  Schuylkill County Junior Idol Bryel Frasch singing an a cappella version of "God Bless America." Gary Bates of the Christian Motorcycle Club performed the blessing of the bikes and The Veterans of the Vietnam War Post 29 honored the heroes of Flight 93 with a 21 gun salute.

Dignitaries present included: Senator David Argall, State Representatives Neal Goodman, Mike Tobash, and Jerry Knowles. Also present were representatives of Schuylkill County: Registrar of Wills Mike McCord and Clerk of Courts Steve Lukach. Orwigsburg Mayor Austin Scandiber, Orwigsburg Borough Council President Michelle Rudloff, and Orwigsburg Borough Manager Mike Lonergan were on hand to honor the heroes of Flight 93, and to wish our bikers well on their trip to Shanksville.  Representing the Northeast PA Manufacturers & Employers Association were President Darlene J. Robbins and Chairman of the Board of Directors Andy Falco.

As the bikers left Schaeffer's Harley-Davidson for Shanksville, they were escorted by the Orwigsburg Police Department and passed under a ladder arch provided by the Schuylkill Haven and Pottsville Fire Departments. The "Pottsville Flight" of bikers raised $22,000 for the Flight 93 Memorial in Shanksville, PA. Statewide the "Let's Roll Flight 93 Memorial Ride" raised nearly $250,000!
